Allianz x Women’s Aid

This year, Allianz Insurance and Women's Aid created a new national fundraising movement called #StandStrong. A partnership with Media Central was devised, aiming to raise awareness, funds, and help combat domestic abuse.
On Monday, February 6th, people could take part by doing the Yoga Warrior Pose and posting a picture on social media with #StandStrong, showing the women of Ireland subjected to domestic abuse that they are not alone.

We created a cross-station, multi-faceted partnership with Allianz Insurance and Women's Aid across Media Central's full suite of stations, both national and regional, to amplify their initiative and build awareness of and encourage participation in the #StandStrong movement on a national scale. This was achieved through high-frequency messaging and bespoke content on-air,
on social, and online.

The partnership consisted of a mix of bespoke content on Newstalk for a week, a series of Bank Holiday weekend takeovers across the entire network of stations, which included on-air interviews with some of Women’s Aid's most notable activists. We culminated the campaign in an hour-long panel on Newstalk on #StandStrong day, Monday, 6th February.

This campaign covered a hugely important and topical subject, and it is something our full suite of stations really wanted to get behind to support. The content was covered in a raw and moving yet respectful way and proved to be very popular, showing the nationwide support for the movement. This was a brilliant initiative to work with Allianz and Women's Aid on and was a fantastic partnership across all stations.
